Job Description


The Product Solution Manager, Cleaning Solutions, will take the lead role in driving this companies cleaning business by focusing on product management, marketing, business development, sales support and training in North America. This position also works with the respective operating units to maintain existing solutions and assist and participate in future solution development. The company is strongly targeting an integrated sales approach where we address the needs of our customers throughout the food chain: farmers, co-ops and processors.

Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with sourcing and manufacturing

* Develop sales tools that can promote Cleaning Solutions in collaboration with Product Business Areas and the local markets

* Responsible for coordinating and communicating the status of different projects, supporting the development from beginning to end

* Support overall Cleaning Solutions sales and provide support with an integrated solutions approach

* Provide regular analysis of the DCS portfolio, supporting the launch of new products, and analyzing margins on product sourced from external suppliers

* Interact and work cross-functionally with many departments including R & D, Regulatory, Sourcing, Marketing Communications, Sales Company & external suppliers

* Development of long-term marketing plans

* Develop incentives in addition to educational and training tool kits, a clear sales process and other strategic tools

* Maintain close relationship and provide direct support to key sales resources in charge of 80% of the cleaning business

* Identify and develop seasonal campaigns promoting solutions to occasional industry challenges that require an opportunistic approach.

* Focus on market/industry analysis and developing the knowledge to generate business intelligence

* Coordinate launches, promotional activities and campaigns in cooperation with Sales Company

* Financial analysis of any marketing initiatives

* Participate in scheduled price runs to review and modify the assortment’s pricing in SAP

* Regularly follow up on price increases of raw materials and communicate/present impact on sales prices

* Responsible for operational maintenance of existing and new products in the assortment (logistical setup, SAP, labeling, etc.)

* Proven ability to quickly develop in-depth knowledge of a manufacturing-based industry

* Ability to travel 20-40% (domestic)

 

 

EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND

 

* B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or similar degree required

* 3-5 years of relevant work experience; experience in the chemical or food industry is preferred

* Prior experience in product management, marketing/sales is required

* Technical product marketing experience preferred (affinity for technology, equipment and devices)

* Experience working in manufacturing-setting and/or food processing environment is preferred

* Experience working with dealers and distributors is preferred

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office required (specifically Excel, PowerPoint)

* Experience with SAP preferred
